• Women and Child empowerment

    There are clear indicators of the fact that Indian women continue to be discriminated. This is evident from non-equal participation in comparison to men of the community. Instance of maternal mortality is second highest in the world further worsened by illiteracy; and crimes against women are in all respects a grey paradox of modern India. That while women wield power and hold positions at the topmost areas of society, substantial sections of the women are still among the most underprivileged. Some of the areas are main concern in case of underprivileged women are – health, sanitation, education, and social status.. Health and education of women and girls are two main issues that loom large mid continue to plague their development. While poverty, early marriage. Malnutrition, lack of hygienic menstrual practices and lack of life healthcare during pregnancy arc some of related issues; More than 50 percent of girls drop out of school by the time they are in middle school.

    In the given scenario, the only way to bring about sustainable development in the poor condition of underprivileged women and girls in the country is to empower them - With education and good health. And a simultaneous approach is the need of the hour. Navratan Foundation has been start working. with a bifocal approach. For the sustainable development of underprivileged women and girls. Initiated in the year 2010 the initiative has come a long way and is largely conceptualized in accordance with the goals and objectives enshrined in the National Policy for the empowerment of women, and was overall mandated to create-processes and environment for women and adolescent girls at the grassroots to realize their potential.

    We have joined hands with CSM Public School, F/2152, Main Road, Mukund Vihar, New Delhi-110094 to develop it as a central hold of Navratan Foundation to develop and assist women. There we train them to be better equipped for life. Our prime target are distressed women whom we main stream by empowering them with soft skills such as IT, sewing, stitching, crafts, etc.

    We also empower them by helping them legally in case of marital woes or their subjection to domestic violence, sexual violence at society or workplace and other problems.
